House Democrats may conduct a second impeachment of President Trump, according to lawyers for the Judiciary Committee.
In a Monday court filing reported by Politico, House Counsel Douglas Letter argued that they still need testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn, which may uncover new, impeachable evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct the Russiagate investigation (of a crime he didnt commit).
If McGahns testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the Committee will proceed accordingly including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment, reads Letters filing.

The Democrats also argue that McGahns testimony is critical both to a Senate trial and to the Committees ongoing impeachment investigations to determine whether additional Presidential misconduct warrants further action by the Committee, adding that McGahns testimony may also be relevant to future legislation which may stem from the details of Trumps conduct.
And while DOJ lawyers acknowledged in a Monday brief that the legal fight over McGahn isnt moot, the fact that the House Judiciary Committee moved forward with impeachment on a completely different matter removes the urgency to resolve their case.
The reasons for refraining are even more compelling now that what the Committee asserted whether rightly or wrongly as the primary justification for its decision to sue no longer exists, wrote lawyers for the DOJ. The agency also argues that the Mueller impeachment investigation is over, when House lawyers and lawmakers have described it as ongoing and active, according to the report.

Well, why not? It’s worked so well for them for the last three years.
Yes.
Plus to literally put former President Trump in federal prison. That is what several (suspect) talk radio sources said shortly after the Inauguration (NO, don't demand I find my records for it, please!) Someone said there had been Dem plans to give President Hillary Clinton a victory lap by making an example of the election loser Trump for anyone who dared to oppose her again.
They would go after his business dealings and find some excuse to try and then imprison him as a private citizen campaign loser. That would be strongly supported by the Deep state all the way, too. Southern District Court of New York was ready if they did it.
Remember all the talk a few months ago about "So long as he is President there are things we cannot do yet" "Once out of office he can be indicted." "You can do that to a sitting President but once he leaves office there are plans...."
All the above is genuine, guaranteed, top rank Right Wing Talk Radio Conspiracy Theory. But fascinating. Alex Jones would probably laugh, shake his head and say "Where do they come up with such wild ideas?"

Powers of the President...
Section 3
He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United State
Note that this has never been done before. If circumstances are right, and I believe they may be, it might be time to exert this constitutional power.
Then quit guaranteeing it.
Then grow up.
If he wins, then there will be violence; If he loses, I’d expect the same.
I want to see some of these idiots facing the squads for what they’ve done.
Trump approval to hit 70%!
if they get the house and senate...first thing their going after is Kavanaugh...
us.
Shut up, you idiot.
They made campaign promises to their voters that they were going to throw Trump out of office. House Democrats realized their articles were going to fail in the Senate and end up exonerating Trump. So they are trying to find more to bolster their case.
OK, they can't figure out how to complete their "first" impeachment process so the next move is to declare the Mueller investigation is NOT over, it is still ongoing?
The MUELLER investigation?
What's next, start demanding recounts of the 2016 vote totals?
The progs are nuts, they want to go BACKWARDS so as to not lose the control of the process after McConnell told them to buzz off, he was not going to give them any control over the Senate actions.

There is but a thin line between a mission and an obsession.
You really want to see them naked?
I disagree with your disagreement. The dems still get good numbers because Bernie Sanders is pretending to be a dem so he can run for presudent. After he leaves the stage, his followers are likely to go third party. When that happens, the dems drop in stature.I
Add the internal strife between the dem establishment and the AOC types, and things do not get better for them.
The only thing that can help the dems is the republicans going back to a Jeb! type or a Paul Ryan or a Willard Romney.
