House Democrats may conduct a second impeachment of President Trump, according to lawyers for the Judiciary Committee.
In a Monday court filing reported by Politico, House Counsel Douglas Letter argued that they still need testimony from former White House counsel Don McGahn, which may uncover new, impeachable evidence that Trump attempted to obstruct the Russiagate investigation (of a crime he didnt commit).
If McGahns testimony produces new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the Articles approved by the House, the Committee will proceed accordingly including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment, reads Letters filing.

The Democrats also argue that McGahns testimony is critical both to a Senate trial and to the Committees ongoing impeachment investigations to determine whether additional Presidential misconduct warrants further action by the Committee, adding that McGahns testimony may also be relevant to future legislation which may stem from the details of Trumps conduct.
And while DOJ lawyers acknowledged in a Monday brief that the legal fight over McGahn isnt moot, the fact that the House Judiciary Committee moved forward with impeachment on a completely different matter removes the urgency to resolve their case.
The reasons for refraining are even more compelling now that what the Committee asserted whether rightly or wrongly as the primary justification for its decision to sue no longer exists, wrote lawyers for the DOJ. The agency also argues that the Mueller impeachment investigation is over, when House lawyers and lawmakers have described it as ongoing and active, according to the report.

A much larger than 9% of them are thrilled by anything absurd. The more their leaders are absurd, the more excited they get. Just look at the things they think are rational. (Men can menstruate, for example, etc.) That is why 10 impeachment would be better than 5 impeachments.
The left wing nutcases are urinating all over themselves from fear that the truth will be revealed and they will all be out of government and some of them will be in jail. At this point they will try anything to avoid the possibility that justice could actually be done...to them.
That is their desire. Take impeachment off the table by making it a political action not realistic useful action.
Heck!
They be on roll anyway; why not #3 and #4 while they be at it??
I DEFINITELY shudda read ahead!
Sure. Impeach the President a second time. Why not? He can stand another boost in the polls!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
How about we amend the Constitution to specify that a President can only be impeached once in his term of office. Enough of this nonsense!
“I cant even believe this crap anymore. Its all flying in the face of reason.”
I started feeling that way as a child, it just gets worse and worse and worse and worse to infinity and beyond. When I was young “Northeast liberals” were republicans and the “racists” were democrats. Nothing made sense then and nothing minus infinity makes sense now. That last sentence is only for emphasis of course. Mathematically I am reasonably certain it is gibberish but in an age when supposedly serious people say things like “250 times smaller” it doesn’t matter.
In their toolbox, all they have is this one broken hammer.
It still takes 2/3rds of the Senate to remove. Even if the democrats take the senate, it would be barely.
I still think the Republicans hold, 52-48.
Neither political parties, nor Presidential elections, are found in the Constitution.
Not sure what the basis for such a law would be.
