Former prosecutor and Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy is weighing in on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's continued refusal to turn over two articles of impeachment against President Trump to the Senate for a trial.
"If he [President Trump] really is an existential threat the Republic, if he really has committed conduct that should result in his removal from office, then why would you not send it onto the Senate? The Constitution gives the House no role in deciding how this trial takes place. It is exclusively within the province of the Senate," Gowdy said during an interview with Fox News. "I think most of my fellow citizens will see through this 'lets hurry up and impeach him' and then sit on the indictment."
Gowdy also took on the issue of "impartial jurors."
"You had Eric Swalwell investigating the president while he was trying to become president," Gowdy said. "The jury has already made up its mind."
"How many members of the jury are actually running to take Donald Trump's job? You would never have that in a real judicial proceeding. So, Mitch McConnell is right, this is a political trial not a judicial trial," he continued.

Pelosi is demanding that the terms of a trial be "fair" before she proceeds with the articles after the holiday recess.
The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct.

DUH......Captain Obvious.......That statement really deserves some press time. How about saying nothing until Barr indicts Brennan.
She wants the Senate to ignore their own rules if they don’t help the Democrats. Dempeachment isn’t one bit about law or justice.

Lets get to the evidence. I as an American want to hear the truth. No heresay evidence, just real evidence that would be admitted by a real judge in a real trial. I want to know if Trump was justified to ask about Ukraine and US political family corruption. He is head of law enforcement, was he justified or not?
Obstruction of Congress. They need to demonstrate legal requests of facts not delivered or not covered by attorney client privileged or executive privilege.

Each passing day makes the Pelosi Dempeachment more stale. Who cares when waitress Pelosi carries in the House nothingburger? Beat her to the punch with a big helping of coup plotter indictments, declassified coup communications and documents, documents proving Obama, Clinton, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry family crimes, etc.
I’m hoping the senate grows a spine.

I am thinking that Graham and McConnell do not want a trial in the Senate, and neither do Pelousy, Schifty, and the rest of the rats.
Way too much corruption and money laundering to be uncovered, in both political parties.
I am patient but discouraged. I hope we can clean up the place, but I am becoming doubtful that Durham, Barr, and Huber will have the courage to go after Congress and the Obama administration. They may see the risk to the country as being greater than letting the guilty go free.
But, I must pray, and trust God - that His will be done for our nation, but I fear we may not deserve anything but His wrath.
Her actions were and continue to be biased and corrupt. She has no right to even talk about the Senate.
