They don’t last long (some self-destruct quickly). Lots of problems with blade edges wearing out and creating imbalances and moisture damage. And not recyclable, are dumped in landfills.

A while back I read the energy we get from windmills, large or small, doesn’t come close to paying for them over their lifetime. And guess how much energy we get when no wind is blowing. A recent article described the nightmare involved trying to dispose of obsolete windmills. Transporting cost is thru the roof and most land fills don’t let you dump a giant metal structure with all manner of electric motors and chemical coatings.

I’ve never seen a money saving liberal idea that didn’t leave you minus an arm and leg.
