I agree with Durham.
There’s not a lot of difference in what they said.
Horowitz said the standards for opening an investigation are far too low, and that it takes little evidence to open one. Barr said that the evidence was not sufficient to justify the intrusive actions that occurred afterwards.
Yes, there is a difference, but far, far smaller than the media has been stating.

Thanks RACPE. Another one of my apropos of nothing anecdotes -- as Robespierre said, after he used his cronies and nobody allies to eliminate the last of his major rivals, "just one more weeding". R's mistake was in saying that loud enough for them to hear as he retired for the night and they were still in the house. Obama's a little too smart to make that mistake.

“”””Horowitz tried to soft step it, no doubt.
I won’t argue that, but the Horowitz investigation had serious limitations that Durham doesn’t have. “”””””””””
Yup.Horowitz can only talk to people still at the FBI.
One of the little secrets he let slip is that he couldn’t interview Comey because Comey did not renew his security clearance or some such thing.

There was no whitewash, get it right.
Interesting article but question posting NYT stuff that is behind their paywall. I was interested enough to read some of Durhams history to give them an email but now I’ll get spammed from the damn place for weeks.

He's looking into crimes and the perps. Nothing political about it. But at this level of government; isn't it always political even with the added criminal element to it?

I have, and I’d image we’ve all do, some choice words for Holder I’ll spare folks reading.
My appreciation of his opinion would come in beneath that of Pee Wee Herman’s in my estimation.

How about an interim report? Too close to 11/3/2020 and it will be withheld to avoid appearance of a surprise/unfair politics. ;-(

So, Ive been wondering...why does anyone expect a report from Durham? Investigators in his position dont typically write reports. They either indict, through a grand jury, or they dont.
So what is this report thats expected?

AG Barr mentioned this a couple weeks ago, right after Horowitz’ report came out. He said Durham doesn’t issue a report, but enforces the law.

Mr. Holder cautioned Mr. Durham, whom he said he has been proud to know for at least a decade, about his statement. Anyone in Durhams shoes would do well to remember that, in dealing with this administration, many reputations have been irrevocably lost, he wrote.Says the impeached ass.

The only “reputation” Holder has to lose is that of being an honest AG. He was as corrupt as the rest of the Dems under investigation, and it will be interesting to have a DOJ investigation of some of his shady dealings and decisions from Fast & Furious to Benghazi aftermath, etc.
The man is evil, period.
To: VeniVidiVici
Says the impeached ass. He was held in contempt - not impeached. He in fact is still held in contempt, by me at least, but likely by millions of people respecting the laws that he was supposed to uphold but didn't.
