Nancy Pelosi wrote a new rule Wednesday night: we want a fair trial in the Senate. That’s a new one.

Its nowhere in the Constitution. Also, a fair trial is for the benefit of the accused not for the benefit of the prosecutors.

In a statement after the vote, Gabbard said she was “standing in the center” with her vote.

“I could not in good conscience vote against impeachment because I believe President Trump is guilty of wrongdoing,” she wrote in the statement.

“I also could not in good conscience vote for impeachment because removal of a sitting President must not be the culmination of a partisan process, fueled by tribal animosities that have so gravely divided our country,” she added.
