A House Democrat impeachment expert just wrote an opinion article stating that impeachment is a process not a vote and that Trump could legitimately say he wasn’t impeached at all because impeachment is seen through the lenses of the constitution as a whole -impeached in the House and then sent to the Senate for the trial. You can’t have one without the other

It's the same process that EVERY piece of legislation goes through. The vote results of the House MUST be transmitted to the Senate by formal documents before the Senate acts on it. It is a fundamental part of the process in all bi-cameral legislatures. I suspect England's Parliament has (and has had for centuries) a similar process.
Every step of that process requires transmittal of formal documents. What does the President sign if no document is transmitted?
The House simply VOTED to impeach. Impeachment doesn't occur until the results of that vote are turned over to the Senate for completion of the process.
Why would she? The house has nothing to do with the appointment of justices to the court.
Pelousy is holding out because she is hiding how she is involved into some odious crime.

I get your point: Mine was only that one of the Trump hater experts Nadler brought in, is the guy who asserts that what the House has done thus far does NOT constitute impeachment, because what they did is take a vote TO impeach, and that constitutes only a segment of the process of actual impeachment. Perhaps we’re quibbling over a matter of semantics, but the fact is that what Peelousy and her minions have done thus far is bring their 3-year long rant to a meaningless conclusion!

I would agree. A DA can write up an indictment, but until it is formally submitted to the courts and the accused, its just a piece of paper sitting in an office somewhere.

He has been indicted and that IS impeachment. They speaker cannot reverse the impeachment without another vote no matter how long she hold onto it. She doesn’t have that power to act alone.
