The Department of Justice said this month that it could not release records on Democrat technology aide Imran Awan due to technical difficulties, but later admitted in court documents that it could not release records on him because there is a secret ongoing case related to the matter.
Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit Nov. 7, 2018, for 7,000 pages of Capitol Police records related to the cybersecurity investigation, and Aug. 2, the DOJ agreed to begin producing records by Nov. 5, Daily Caller News Foundation investigative reporter Luke Rosiak reported. That deadline came and went with no records being produced; on a Nov. 13 phone call, the DOJ said technical difficulties had resulted in a delay, Judicial Watch stated in a court filing.
In a newly released court filing, the Department of Justice wrote: Pursuant to an Order issued by the Honorable Tanya S. Chutkan, who is presiding over a related sealed criminal matter the Government is prohibited from disclosing certain information pursuant to formal and informal information request in this matter. The Government advised Judge Chutkan of the instant FOIA matter and sought clarification from Judge Chutkan concerning the Governments permissible response in light of her Order in the sealed matter. Defendant received the clarification December 5, 2019, the date of this filing, that permitted Defendant to say the following: The Government is prohibited from disclosing any information pursuant to an Order issued by the Honorable Tanya S. Chutkan.

Heads ups
Does Imran have protection? I heard Epstein’s bodyguard is looking for work.
Are these the folks that just left a laptop laying around?
I am always suspicious about everything coming out from FBI and DOJ (among others). I would not be surprised to learn that the DOJ went to the judge under some kind of ruse and got those documents covered under some kind of order which did not originally apply to said documents.
The STINK from the Awan brothers and DWS is not limited by physical distance. It is a different stink and worse than a garbage dump on the hottest summer day.
About time.
Will somebody finally tell these tyrants that Its NOT your money that youre spending on these jokers?! When you take money from taxpayers they have a right to know whats going on in the government. And they have a right to haul your ass before the bar of justice for misusing it for your own secret purposes. This is an attempt to escape the scrutiny of the American people and to deceive them about the crimes and breaches of national security parlayed out to our enemies by stupid Democrats.
Fire the Fey Wray.
Immediately.
So, I guess Awan is on double secret probation. Is that about it?
You’re right.
He’s either weak or bad... probably weak. It’s a toss up like ‘a mistake’ or ‘intentional’...

Yeah, it's the same guy, and it's the laptop that Blabber-Mouth Schultz threatened the Chief of Capitol Police over.
Maybe Little Debbie The Bitch Wasserman-Schulz is going to jail. What a great Christmas present that would be.
Imagine that
After law school, she worked in private practice for three years, then joined the District of Columbia Public Defender Service (PDS), where she worked as a trial attorney and supervisor. During her tenure at PDS, she argued several appellate cases and tried over 30 cases, including numerous serious felony matters. Eleven years later, she left PDS to join Boies, Schiller, & Flexner LLP, where she specialized in litigation and white collar criminal defense. During her 12 years at the firm, her clients included antitrust class action plaintiffs, as well as individual and corporate defendants involved in complex state and federal litigation.
From 1996 2000 Judge Chutkan was a member of the Steering Committee for the Criminal Law and Individual Rights Section of the District of Columbia Bar. She is a frequent lecturer on trial techniques and she has served as a faculty member at the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy Workshop.
This is the sorry leftist that rules against conservatives as a knee jerk reaction.
In this case my instincts tell me that this “secret order” is to stall a prosecution and discovery. Or to help the prosecutions’ allies to stall the discovery.
