Artificially narrowed? Didn’t the field get narrowed down by a combination of :. Support as measured in public opinion polls, and support as measured in contributions received?

All the candidates on the stage need to have shown they have some minimal level.of support based on the criteria all knew about well in advance. What exactly is the complaint?

The Democrats themselves set up these criteria for determining who the strongest candidates are.

indeed. but there was no affirmative action rule for unpopular candidates, hence the putative “artificial narrowing” claim ...
