Would pay to see another Eastwood film. Shocked a SF paper would praise this one.

The trailer alone is great. It tugs at the heartstrings.

It was difficult to tell the little ones Rudolph did it. Red nosed and leading Santas team seemed so far out of the normal and now Rudolph was bombing the Olympics .... ? Oh the horror for the little ones .....

Eff the FBI. I used to have great respect for them. Now, I'd spit in their Stasi faces and tell them to go to hell. I would not talk to them for 10 seconds unless I had lawyers present and video cameras rolling. I trust them not at all. Zero percent.
Even Hannity is coming around. He used to say, "99.99% if the FBI are great patriots!" Now he's down to "97%" with a lot less enthusiasm.
If they were patriots, they would have whistleblown their own corrupt HQ coup team. They didn't.
Paychecks, pensions and "social justice" globalism are their gods.
So Eff the FBI.

Appears the article didn’t give any props to the screenwriter. Although, I might have missed it. Doesn’t matter who the director is if the script is crap.

I haven't seen it yet, but from the previews this looks like a cautionary tale about the deep state and it's power to crush innocent people. The Mueller/Comey/Fitzpatrick, etc. FBI is still doing this to people.
I'm really surprised the San Fran Chronicle didn't catch that, but self-awareness is not a strong suit of the deep state . . .

Just saw it..!
High, high FR recommendation.
my only critiques:
1. I believe Richard originally met his lawyer AT COLLEGE, years prior. They had not seen each other in maybe 10 years. Somehow for the movie, they changed it a bit for drama.
2. The HEAVY pressure on the FBI by the Clintons to PUSH arbitrary guilt on Richard was omitted. That pressure was very heavy. The theme for Bill’s re-election was “Peace & Prosperity” and the Atlanta Bombing didn’t fit that narrative; especially Hillary simply wanted the case To Go Away.
VERY RECOMMEDED FILM FOR ANY FREEPER..!
FOUR STARS!

I find it a little odd that they are as concerned about a possible altered event (and worried the person has died and cannot defend themselves) as the larger implications of the movie.
The cynical part of me finds it ironic that the SF Chronicle, reflective of the worldview that created Jewell’s living hell, calls it a “cautionary tale” without actually applying it to the ongoing real world.

"The Death of Ron Brown"
"The Sinking of the Ehime Maru"

I haven't seen all his films but none of the ones I have seen (as a star or director/producer) has disappointed me. When this comes out on bluray I will very probably buy it.

Saw it tonight. Could have done without all the F**kins, GD’s, Sh!ts, etc., etc., etc. (but, then again I’m not a cusser) Otherwise, enjoyed and found extremely interesting.

Even the left praises it, hoping we won’t remember the way they destroyed Jewell’s life, and gleefully.
