He announced that he would not lead.Labour in the next general election. That might be years away. He hasnt set a date for actually stepping down.

Are you serious? Corbyn was a far worse Trojan Horse than even Obama.
The sane humans of the world should be breathing a collective sigh of relief and saying a prayer of gratitude.

Dear gawd, yes. Corbyn is a very dangerous man. Worse than Obama.

I wonder if he’s trying to extort a golden handshake out of Labour...

Au contraire, he can do a lot. He can lose them even more in the run up to the next one.
The more I think about it...I think he’s holding out for a big bribe to go away.

Corbyn is no Trojan Horse.
He’s always been very open about who he is and what he wants.
And, given the similarities between the US and the UK political crises, with the defection of the working class to nationalism, what Corbyn will now do is lead #ResistUK, with the cooperation of the intelligence and civil service departments.

With the aid of American Deep Staters, no doubt. Spygate in reverse.

Assuming that there are still enough Brits who can read and write in English, they will experience an economic boom not seen since WWII when Trump signs a trade pact with the UK.

Maybe. It certainly looks like he’ll be dragged kicking and screaming from that leadership role. A normal person or in-touch politician would vacate immediately. He’s a true sociopath.

Fortunately for Jeremy, the unemployment rate in the UK is only 3.9 percent (almost as low as our unemployment rate). Otherwise, who knows, it could be Jeremy Corbin with a cardboard sign, Will write code for food.
He is not stepping down as an MP, he merely resigned as the leader of his party. As an MP he earns £79,468 a year plus allowances to cover the costs of running an office and employing staff, and maintaining a constituency residence and a residence in London.
Nice gig.

He is way worse than he lets on. Way.
He would have made Obama look like a reasonable centrist.
