Maybe you missed something... I wrote democracy cannot confront either communism or Islam....

I don’t think so. As Wilson saw things, democracy is synonymous with socialism; clearly he got that idea from Marx, Engels and like-minded people. From this perspective, democracy is synonymous with communism also; therefore, communism would not confront itself.

Is there a definition of democracy that is at odds with Wilson’s definition, i.e. a system of government that puts community (collective) rights above individual rights? So far, the more democratic the US Constitution got (particularly after the Sixteenth and Seventeenth Amendments), the less free our republic has gotten.
