The Japanese did SICK TESTS ON MILLIONS OF CHINESE, dropping infected fleas on them and using their heads sticking out of the ground for bayonet practice!!

Bayoneted pregnant women too.

That’s all EASILY verifiable.

Then the Baton death march.

Then the area for experiments whee they dissected people ALIVE!! Among other things.

WOW I gotta disagree with you on this one.

Japanese were SICK, CRUEL MEAN ####S during that war

Japanese depravity during the war was every bit as bad as what Germany was up to. Although it is not much discussed the reason was the same: Japanese belief in their own cultural and racial superiority. The Japanese had a serious chip on their shoulder about their innate superority, and I for one am glad to see that losing the war got rid of that chip. They are still arrogant at times, particularly when it comes to the Koreas and China, but they’ve been carping at each other for 1500 years now, and I doubt much that will change.

Ditto.

Sick of Japan constantly getting a pass while our own kin of German persuasion (we are heavily German in blood, culture and ethic) are universally painted as the only Boogeyman that ever existed.

Smacks of early self-flagellation of, the closer it is to white American, the more evil it is. Japs Ok, excusable; Germans bad and inexcusable.

Exactly the same kinds of things the Germans did. Except the Japanese carried them out against guerrillas/rebels, whereas the Germans conducted them against people who were just minding their own business, except for the fact that they were Jews, gypsies, Slavs, etc. Note that this was in addition to the 11m killed in Nazi death camps.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1941_Odessa_massacre

Note that on top of extermination camps, random massacres and biological experimentation on live human subjects, the Germans also conducted reprisal killings along the lines of the Japanese:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ardeatine_massacre
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chortiatis_massacre
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distomo_massacre

In general, the Japanese conducted zero atrocities against civilians that weren’t in the aftermath of high casualty battles or against civilians who weren’t suspected to be guerrilla supporters. Whereas Jews, gypsies and others on Hitler’s extermination list were dead no matter what. There’s a long history of atrocity just like the Japanese variant not just in Chinese history, but elsewhere as well.

The common theme here is that all were targeted at quelling future resistance.
