Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang said Tuesday that hed like to sit down with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., to explain the Freedom Dividend, the universal basic income proposal thats the cornerstone of his campaign for the White House.
"I havent sat down with Alexandria. It could just be politics. Im very optimistic that if she understood the Freedom Dividend, shed be excited about it," Yang told Fox News after a campaign event at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H. "Shes demonstrated openness to universal basic income in the past and I think shell be very excited when she sees what it would mean in real life.
The tech entrepreneurs comments come after Ocasio-Cortez a high profile lawmaker and a member of the so-called "Squad" of four progressive female freshman Democratic lawmakers recently criticized universal basic income as very regressive.

“The bartender knows about Trojan horses.”
Well maybe about Trojans
Yang is either desperate of he has an AOC fetish.
Anyone who would sit down within range of AOC’s chompers is actually bearding the leftist Lion kitty cat? She has thrown all of her questionable favors to Bernie Sanders.
Good one
I love how the left continuous to twist the English language to their needs. There’s no freedom and are no dividends with this proposal.
Giving people money never results in a net gain. It results in people going out spending it on garbage they don’t need, because it’s other people’s money. This isn’t freedom. It’s redistribution.
And dividends? Dividends implies a profit or a surplus. We’re so far under water financially that we’re functionally insolvent. They’re taking money from somewhere, that somewhere being an increase of all taxes, and corporations don’t pay taxes, they pass on the taxes to the buyer in the form of price hikes.
Without forcing all forms of commerce into a price fixing scheme, this will never work. And when we get to that point (not if, but when), we’ll have dived so far down the communist rabbit hole that America, as a constitutional republic, will be a pinpoint in the rearview.
That’s the best analogy yet.
But it’s still to tough to understand for the useful idiots.
It’s gotta be genetic. An extra stupid chromosome.
I believe their brains are miswired. Their logic circuits have been plugged in to their humor circuits, so that they are incapable of understanding either logic or comedy.
Ironic how the Democrat “Freedom Dividend” is precisely what will be used to enslave everyone.
Funny how Democrats call everything the exact opposite of what they are.
Liars.
Get him talking about collusion
The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese
AOC already has experience with HER version of Universal Income-—altho she was taking it for herself when she stole the tips at the bar she was working at.
I am praying that NYC come up with a better candidate for her Rep position in the 2020 election.
I have an interesting variation on the socialism mouse trap analogy.
We occasionally have mice in our house and I have noticed that when they appear (usually at the end of the summer they start finding their way into the house somehow), and I set traps — always use peanut butter, not cheese — they at first ignore the traps but then start to nibble bits of peanut butter off without triggering the trap.
It’s like they start out being extremely cautious, then a bit experimental and for awhile they actually get good at cleaning off the peanut butter without triggering the trap, which I always find amusing because I know how it’s going to end.
And it does always end.
Always the same way.
With me end up buying new traps (because I just throw them away once they’ve done their job... don’t really want to clean them up).
Anyway, my point is this:
With the socialism/mousetrap analogy... sometimes it actually IS free food, for some critters, for some amount of time.
But the ending is ALWAYS bad for the “recipients”.
Always.
No matter how good it looks at first.
