The left thought they had rid themselves of Nixon when Kennedy was elected. When he successfully resurrected his political career they felt they HAD to get him.
Defending a former spy who became disillusioned with Stalin and communism and testified before Congress meant they HAD to take him out. No one carries a grudge like a leftist.
To be honest the EPA quickly outgrew it’s original intent. Something was needed but the EPA was probably a bit too much.
Mining Haiphong and the B-52 bombings were what brought the North to the table.
Ironically the bombing campaign was more successful than we knew. Sometime in the 1980’s a North Vietnamese official admitted that another three months of bombing and the South could have walked into Hanoi unopposed. The Norths economy and society in general was in tatters.
So she is angry about Trump’s demeaning remaks but conspiring against a President is okay?

Since I have not seen or heard the referred to “orgasm”, I was wondering if this was identifiable enough at the rally for children to be asking their parents what was happening. At what age is it sensible to not expose children to something like this and not be considered a prude?

I did not see or hear the Nixon/Kennedy debate. However, my late husband was in a bar in Iowa, I don’t know if with TV or only radio. He said a question was asked about Truman’s use of salty language in the White House. Nixon went into a long comment about how in the White House he would use the kind of language that the dignity of the office required. Kennedy said, “I think that’s Mrs. Truman’s problem.” Husband says with that one exchange, Kennedy won the votes in that Iowa bar.
Uhh, the tapes showed Nixon was lying about that.
Yep, we were infiltrated and they can’t see they are the power that we need to speak truth to.
The tapes certainly did show he was a hypocrite about the salty language. Those Iowa farm boys picked right up on Nixon’s sanctimonious tone of voice that I heard much later when I actually was able to listen to the debate.
