MSNBC apologizes after using photo of white nationalist Richard Spencer when talking about former Navy secretary
MSNBC host Joy Reid issued a correction on Sunday after an image of white nationalist Richard Spencer was mistakenly broadcast during her cable news segment while discussing former Navy secretary Richard Spencer.
Reid, who hosts AM Joy, tweeted video of her issuing the very big correction later during the segment around noon on Sunday.
I want to make a quick correction. This is a pretty big correction. Earlier in the segment as we were talking about former Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, we mistakenly showed the wrong image of white supremacist Richard Spencer, she said in the clip.
The MSNBC host went on to add that the network is very, deeply sorry for that mistake.

I always found it amazing that a national slogan to promote higher education for blacks was blatantly improper English. I make numerous grammatical errors but I don’t write national slogans and I am not on a national television network.
If they just said “Hey Google, give me a picture of that asshole Richard Spencer” I would totally understand.
They need a white nationalist on staff to vet such things—diversity, ya know... ;-)
only the hill calls them “Nationalists”
Its common practice in writing to include a middle name or initial to identify two persons with the same first and las names
Go after MSNBC with a law suit and then go after her personally. She will shut her big black a## right quick
Nothing new. 22 years ago a psycho ex girlfriend ran a search on my name, and one of the hits was a white supremacist and child molester - who is currently in prison. He has a different middle initial, and is 10 years older. But that didn’t matter to her.
I would even bet that the Leftards would say that Richard Spencer and Robert Spencer are the same. Names are close enough.
As liberal as the PBS member network I was at, no way would a key like that would be typed up, let alone go out without immediate termination.
Is that like that ‘Spotted Dick’ desert?
After Buttplug loses in 2020 he can sell cans of that in late night TV ads.
