The F.B.I. never tried to place undercover agents or informants inside the Trump campaign, a highly anticipated inspector generals report is expected to find.
There's a pony in there somewhere...
When the criminal investigation is complete, there won't be any opinions, just indictments and decisions not to indict.
“The FBI” didn’t but the coup plotters did...Brennan wasn’t FBI.
“The F.B.I. never tried to place undercover agents or informants inside the Trump campaign...”
Of course not, the objective was to plant evidence to be further used for FISA warrants.
They tried to plant evidence on George Papadopoulos and he refused to go along but they excluded that exculpatory evidence.
They didn’t try to plant evidence on Carter Page. They just submitted a falsified FISA application in order to get the FISA warrant to spy on the entirety of the Trump campaign.
They kept it going with renewal into the Trump presidency.
See, they’re innocent according to the NY Slimes.
The FBI uses Confidential Human Sources (Trademark).
It is just crazy conspiracy theory to talk about “undercover agents” or “informants” in this context (where it might make a Democrat look bad).
Then again, the Times reporter may simply be outright lying to buy Democrats another week or two on offense. You don’t get a Pulitzer for little white lies, you have to go big.
If the report is being leaked to the NY Times, you can bet it’s good news for the left.
The FBI just got someone else to “place” undercover agents” or informants inside the Trump campaign. With the FBI’s working ties to other DOJ entities (National Security Div), CIA, NSA, DIA, DNI, State Dept., it would be easy to get some “outside help” on an infiltration project.
