The Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee announced on Tuesday that it is moving forward with Democrats’ impeachment hearings and has scheduled hearings for next week.
Chairman Jerry Nadler sent a letter to the White House on Tuesday notifying the Trump administration that his committee had scheduled its first impeachment hearing for next Wednesday, December 4.
“The Committee intends this hearing to serve as an opportunity to discuss the historical and constitutional basis of impeachment, as well as the Framers’ intent and understanding of terms like ‘high crimes and misdemeanors,'” Nadler wrote. “We except to discuss the constitutional framework through which the House may analyze the evidence gathered in the present inquiry. We will also discuss whether your alleged actions warrant the House’s exercising its authority to adopt articles of impeachment.”
“The Committee looks forward to your participation in the impeachment inquiry as the Committee fulfills its constitutional duties,” Nadler continued. “While we invite you to this hearing, we remind you that if you continue to refuse to make witnesses and documents available to the committees of jurisdiction, under H. Res. 660, ‘the chair shall have the discretion to impose appropriate remedies.'”

It's all to ramp up Democrat enthusiasm and I don't think it will slow down Trump or McConnell one bit, but that's going to be the argument of the Democrats and the media... but I repeat myself.
Why would the WH want to attend a seminar in Constitutional history with people who don’t even provide due process to the accused President? You don’t need to waste even more time in Congress debating what “high crimes and misdemeanors” means when you apparently don’t understand that the bribery charge you are proposing is part of the US Criminal Codes that did not exist at the time the Constitution was enacted and does not apply to the office of President.

The timing on this announcement is to give hope to the liberals everywhere who will be getting pounded by relatives at the Thanksgiving day table.

Didn’t Nancy hand over the process a few weeks ago to Shifty because Nadler was screwing things up? Stalling methinks.
They’ve advanced beyond stupidity.

Yawn. This is beyond tedious. The few people that are still paying attention will probably start dropping off after this.
Let them move ahead. Discuss to their heart’s content. The president and the Republicans should have zero involvement. Tell them to vote and if it goes to Senate for trial, they’d be happy to show up. Don’t give the dems another pseudo inquiry meant to trip someone up and hopefully have grounds to vote.
I think that "impeachments" and "indictments" go hand in hand. The impeachment trial in the Senate is going to expose for the world to see the crimes of the Democrats. I expect a lengthy trial that will open one can of worms after another. The investigations are done and indictments are all ready now. We just need public sentiment(support) to catch up. Trump isn't kidding when he says he wants a trial, imo. He set them up.
