There are a lot better reasons to dismiss Bloomberg than on his choice of coffee.
BTW, I’m not a coffee drinker at all. I could care less what he drinks. I worry a lot more about what he stands for.
I think it’s just that he revealed himself as the old valetudinarian (somebody obsessed with their health) that he is. Even if he didn’t want a regular coffee, he should have ordered it and been sharp enough to understand that the optics on a decaf weren’t good.
Bloomy was an okay mayor in some respects...he let the police continue with stop and frisk, for example, a good thing because these kids are heavily armed - all illegally, of course - are were destroying their own families and neighborhoods. But just this weekend he renounced it all in an interview, and said it was a mistake to allow stop and frisk...
But he’s standing by his ban on Big Gulps!
