The other factor in this equation is turnout among black voters. If Trump does slightly better among blacks than 2016 and their turnout is no higher, then he has a good chance of winning several states that may have seemed out of reach.
Maybe another factor is Kanye speaking the truth about life for the black community. If people can come to Christ, and get on board with the concept of nuclear families and involved fathers, amazing things can happen.
