Well, considering that Mueller was essentially forced to fire him from the Russia Hoax investigation because of found, IN WRITING, political “animus” toward Trump expressed by him it will be hard to actually say he had no political motivation.
Well No political bias by the top brass. This low level guy will be the fall guy.
The top brass will be bad managers who should have caught this and fired him. But their poor management prevent it. So Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Clapper, Rice, etc... all free.
Apparently the top brass has their finger on the pulse of what is going on in the world but are oblivious to what is going on in their office.
so where is this guy now? fired a long time ago and gone ghost? or still writing emails on company time?
The central question is whether the FBI director intentionally withheld or obfuscated the critical information that the dossier evidence used to justify the warrant was paid political opposition research fabricated by a foreign contractor (Steele) and was not verified at the time the request was made.
If the IG report conclusion is ‘no’ then this is a whitewash since we know the facts of how the dossier was delivered by Nellie Ohr to her husband Bruce and disseminated to others in the FBI. This act is not “sloppy” it is a crime. The FISA court will be institutionalized as a rogue political weapon for the private use of the ruling class.
When someone is indicted, they take little solace in the NY Times saying it’s all a big nothingburger.

He’s prominent enough to have been involved in most of the top cases we are upset about - Clinton e-mail, FISA, Mueller all involve him.

realistically, it will be Durham’s job to ask those questions and turn Cline; an IG just doesn’t have the tools.
In my most optimistic assessment, Horowitz’s report is a pointer to Durham to “start here”.
