Thanks for the link. It lead me to this link as well.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, MP Andriy Derkach announced at the same press conference that deputies have received new materials from investigative journalists alleging that the 'family' of ex-President Yanukovych funneled $7.4 billion through American investment firm Franklin Templeton Investments, which they claim have connections to the US Democratic party."

snip

"The son of Templeton's founder, John Templeton Jr., was one of President Obama's major campaign donors. Another fund-related character is Thomas Donilon. Managing Director of BlackRock Investment Institute, shareholder Franklin Templeton Investments, which has the largest share in the fund. It is noteworthy that he previously was Obama's national security advisor," Derkach added.

I believe this entire impeachment is an attempt to quash any of this stuff from coming out.

GREAT connections! Thank you both. And I think you are absolutely correct, with Democrats never focus on the hand they show you, ALWAYS wonder what they have in the hand behind their backs.

Templeton’s Hasenstab Winds Down $7 Billion Ukraine Bond Bet

April 22, 2017

SAN MATEO, USA — Franklin Templeton bond chief Michael Hasenstab is pulling back from one of his most contrarian bets of the past decade.

Holdings in Ukrainian sovereign debt in the flagship $40 billion Templeton Global Bond Fund he manages have dropped by half in the past year to about $1.2 billion, or 3 percent of the total portfolio, according to filings posted on the fund manager’s website.

Most of the reduction was in Ukraine’s shortest-dated bonds, maturing before the end of 2021, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
