This a huge bunch of nothing. The money was not withheld, there was no investigation, ergo no quid pro quo.
Pence office denies Sondland claim on Ukraine warning: Never happened
The vice president never had a conversation with Gordon Sondland about investigating the Bidens, Burisma, or the conditional release of financial aid to Ukraine based upon potential investigations, Pence said in his statement. Ambassador Gordon Sondland was never alone with Vice President Pence on the September 1 trip to Poland. This alleged discussion recalled by Ambassador Sondland never happened.
Starr is back peddling.
at least twice and probably more (I saved the transcript)
Q. Did you ever have sexual relations with Gennifer Flowers?...
( a lotta blah blah blah objection stuff) then..
A. That’s right, that was upheld by the court. The answer to your question, if the definition is section one there in the first piece of evidence you gave me, is yes.
Q. On how many occasions?
A. Once.
Q. In what year?
A. 1977.
Q. Did you ever make sexual advances to Gennifer Flowers after that occasion which did not culminate in sexual relations?
A. No.
(I was never sure how he, (or anyone) could even answer that last question with a yes or no)
big time...what a lil biotch
Sounds like Starr might’ve had a come-to-Jesus moment during Castor’s and Nunes’ questioning.
Ken can get bent.
What is Starr now saying?
Sondland gave them the early morning soundbites. So that will make the nightly news. Schiff didn’t look too happy at the lunch break. One Freeper earlier nailed Sonlond’s gig. He thought he would hostile witness and be a problem for both sides..
“Ken can get bent.”
Good chance of that. Tonight.
Great analogy! 100%. If he didn't give them enough rope to hang themselves then everyone would question him. It's the same principle with employee relationships. If you know an employee is a scoundrel but everyone else thinks he's a good guy then you better wait a bit to fire him while he SHOWS everyone what a scoundrel he is. If you don't do that then the remaining employees are just going to think you're the bad guy.
You know that, I know that. But for millions, reality is whatever the Tube tells them to think.
I’m just catching up here, but it seems that Starr, of anybody, should know we don’t go to the verdict right after the prosecution gives their opening statement
Schiff will always direct everything to his own liking....if he thinks Soundland sided too much with Trump I wouldn’t put it past Schiff to extend the lunch time...but Schiffs job is to ‘feature Schiff...thus news briefings during breaks, interrupting republicans and witnesses, opening statements framing the narrative daily, and bringing dwn his gavel at will.
Got it:)
Uh-oh.
Trump will be impeached by the House, only the third President in history to suffer that fate. Stupid Sondland is just helping that effort. I hope the Dems pay a price in 2020.
What Starr said is this.....
“The real issue is the senators are watching. Are senators going to now say in light of what we hear today, it’s going to be a long day even with the ambassador alone, in light of what we heard, ‘We need to make a trip down to the White House’?”
“That historic example set during the Nixon presidency. From what I’ve been able to glean, I don’t think that’s going to happen. But obviously what happens today could - has the potential - to be a game-changer.”
Maybe Starr has never been on a jury, but as a lawyer he should know this..
Why would anyone care what Kenneth Starr says? He hasn’t been relevant for at least 20 years.
