Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman admitted he made up elements of President Donald Trump’s call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an official summary. Prior to the call, Vindman included a discussion about corruption in the talking points provided to the president but Trump did not use them in the call.
The summary Vindman wrote after the call read:
President Trump underscored the unwavering support of the United States for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity – within its internationally recognized borders – and expressed his commitment to work together with President-elect Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people to implement reforms that strengthen democracy, increase prosperity, and root out corruption.

I never understood how any of these field-grade pompous a-holes ever make it to their paygrade, let alone aide or Pentagon staff, let alone White House privilege (and it IS a privilege). Except that Trump as POTUS is the Commander in Chief, so Vindman should be able to understand that his orders actually come from President Trump. To me, Vindman is due for a charge of insubordination.

I don't know that I agree with that. Many years ago an Army colleague of mine was assigned to the U.S. Embassy in London. He was not permitted to wear his uniform and drew a clothing allowance. However, if he had ever been called to account for his actions on duty he would most certainly appear in uniform.
Was he drawing military pay? Did he have a commanding officer? Was he subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice? I don't know what his status was.

I should have been more clear. I meant on the officer's right side there are devices I don't recognize. They look like service ribbons but appear next to the unit citations. That is, on the left side relative to an observer.

Impeachment is more DOA today than it was last week.
“I heard Nunes on the radio today where he called him “Mr. Vindman” and Vindman said “It’s LT. COL. VINDMAN!””

This who have Democrats have to remove the POTUS of office... a witness who admitted on cross he made it all up about the phone call.
Seriously? The defense doesn’t need to call any witnesses. Democrats’ chief witness just torpedoed their impeachment ship!
In other words, after two weeks, Democrats still can’t find anyone who spoke to Trump before, during and after the July 25th phone call!
They have NO case.
