Emotions, such as love or hate, are the physical result of prior thoughts and values. Leftards reject traditional values of America, which are based on pro-freedom thinking, so they hate it

The left think of themselves as beyond America. They are the woke who understand our history of destroying indigenous peoples, and slavery, and racism, and capitalist greed that hurts so many and keeps us from having ‘universal health care’ because ‘the rich’ aren't paying their fair share.

They are the intelligent people, understanding science and climate change, and who are beyond religion - which is for those small un-woke people clinging to their bibles and guns. They are the ones who embrace diversity, and who know that Islam truly is the ‘religion of peace’, and that Israel has provoked them and is the true roadblock to peace in the Middle East.

They understand that someone like Trump should never be in any elected office, because he's not knowledgeable about government, and could never see and understand the nuance that they do, and that AOC does.

They understand that people like AOC, and Tlaib, and Omar are the future, because they are the ones who truly know and understand the scourge that is US imperialism.

No, they don't love America. As Hillary once said, ‘I love the America that could be’.

Your comment supports what I have always believed. The Left in America has a committed core of true believers who have positioned themselves to manipulate others, particularly young people on college campuses. For the most part, the desire to be cool and part of something results in the young suspending critical thinking. It is so much easier to let the professor or the activist tell them what to believe then to risk alienation by thinking for themselves.

Shortly, yes. The formula is always the same: find an imperfection, claim that it is a fundamental characteristic of the system, revel in moral superiority. Those strictures do not apply to leftism itself; its failures are always somebody else’s fault.

Journalism exists to report bad news. It’s how they attract audience.

Bad news reflects poorly on society, and suggests the need for more government.

Knowing that journalism is negative towards society, journalism claims to be objective. But “negativity equals objectivity” is cynicism.

Socialism is cynicism directed towards society and - correspondingly - naiveté towards government.

It's all about the verbiage. Who ever comes up with the edgiest, snarliest verbiage. Things like ‘’white male dominated power structure’’ and'' bourgeois reactionary middle class''. Who ever has that down gets listened to. And of course violence. Violence is the Left's stock in trade.
