Cory Booker is optimistic about his future with his girlfriend, actress Rosario Dawson.
The 50-year-old New Jersey senator and presidential hopeful discussed the possibility of marriage with Dawson during Monday's episode of The Wendy Williams Show.
"Look, I have hope. I have hope!" Booker said. "This is something really special. She's challenged me in ways that I needed to be challenged."
Booker promised host Wendy Williams he will buy a tasteful engagement ring for Dawson, should he propose.
"She is this righteous activist," he said of Dawson. "She has a fashion line in Africa about empowering women, so whatever I get will be conscious and reflect the values of a couple, should I decide to do this."
Booker and Dawson first met at a fundraiser for politician Ben Jealous. Booker recalled how he met Dawson again at a roof party hosted by actress and comedian Sarah Silverman.
"The roof was on fire that night," Booker said.
"I have a lot of confidence in a lot of areas, but I tell you, I did not feel confidence when I asked for her phone number," he added. "I have a lot of confidence when it comes to justice and opportunities, but this was a shy moment for me, definitely. But, she was merciful."

"She is an extraordinary woman who has transformed my life, and you know, it's just weird to be running for president at a time that I'm the happiest I've ever been in my persona life, as well," he said. "So I'm excited to win the presidency and perhaps have one of the more extraordinary significant others that has ever been with a president."

Her scenes in Alexander were the only good ones in the movie

That’s the movie that scene reminded me of.
Everybody seems to be there except Ethel Merman and Jimmy Durrante. I was thinking, either that movie, or Gilligan’s Island.
Ethel is between Milton Berle(Captain’s hat) and the second blonde lady. Jimmy wouldn’t be in this scene as it is where the stolon money is buried. Jimmy died along the highway scene at the beginning of the movie.
This was one of the first matinee movies I went to when I was a kid. One of my all time favorite comedies!
Absolutely which is why he phrases his words the way he does. Once he is done running for President I give it maybe 6 months max and the relationship will be announced as over. Gotta keep up appearances.
Powder Puff Pete, is likely going to be a force in 2024... If he doesn’t screw himself... which he appears to be doing, by pandering way too hard to the far left lately..
However, he needs the black vote to have any shot as a Democrat, and he basically has next to zippo there... Until he get some support amongst that group (which is has manage to piss off in droves with his inept handling of things in South Bend)... he’s a non starter no matter what the press tells you.
She will evaporate into the ether after his presidential campaign is over.
