f you thought there werent any major elections until the Iowa caucuses on Feb. 3, guess again. On Saturday, Louisiana will choose between incumbent Democratic Gov. John Bel Edwards and Republican businessman Eddie Rispone for governor. And the race down in the Bayou looks increasingly close, so its an open question whether Edwards can once again overcome Louisianas deep red hue to win reelection. Heres where things stand heading into Election Day.

Just not enough votes in the rural areas to overcome the gimmedats and white guilt voters in the cities.
LOL....those cheeters ;-)
Socialism is so appealing to the American people who know nothing about it.
I don’t need a link. Orleans parish, the largest in the state, has only reported 24% and is going 92% for Edwards. the tiny lead which Rispone now has will be overwhelmed when Orleans reports.
Shreveport has been liberal since 2000; it does have a Republican sheriff, however.
Louisiana Governor 2767 of 3934 Precincts Reporting
Eddie Rispone 587,332 51%
John Bel Edwards 572,936 49%
But Orleans is only 38 percent in
same scenario for east Baton Rouge parish. With 35 percent reporting it is 65/35.
You’re right, the RNC is ineffective: has no real get-out-the-vote apparatus like the Dems have. Trump could be in big trouble in 2020, but time will tell.
That’s what it looks like.
Can’t see how Rispone wins.
Governors races are referendums on the incumbent. My understanding is that the incumbent is a pro life Democrat and moderate to conservative. Thats tough to beat in the South. If the incumbent has been managing the state well, do you really expect that the voters are going to vote him out?
Yeah....hard to vote out FreeChit, isn’t it?
Saw a sign on the dairy case, at WallyWorld, earlier.....
We now accept EBT cards for online grocery orders.
I told hubby....he##, they’re getting their groceries for free....the LEAST they could do is get their lazy arses to the store and actually shop the aisles, themselves.
How do they even afford internet/wifi/computer/phone, to place their online orders, if they’re on EBT?? Don’t answer...we already know how. We the Taxpayer.
50.3% Eddie Rispone GOP 609,351
49.7% John Bel Edwards* Dem 602,966
Rispone is very weak in his home parish.
plus hes got a 53% approval.....
Stupid electorate mostly.
I’m seeing parishes like St. Bernard and Jefferson that went easily for Trump in 2016 go Edwards.
Poking around the map early on and there were very few rural R parishes that had that 75/25 Republican split that is needed now that the suburbs like Jefferson have turned Rat.
I have to ask and that freakin idiot McDaniel BETTER BE ASKING THE SAME EFFIN QUESTION...how can conservatives be losing in red states..how in the F!!! They better get their shit together because it’s beginning to look like some evil shit is going on behind close doors!! MY GOODNESS something bad is stinking to high heaven!! They will deny a trump victory ANYWAY the evil cabal can...THIS IS REALLY BEGINNING TO FREAKIN STINK!!!
Are you so excited that you can hardly stand it??
You forgot to mention their drug and alcohol money.
