My question would be exactly when did Ambassador Sondland meet with Zelensky since the phone call to get more up-to-date information that President Trump did not already have from the Phone call? I don’t see why a phone call would have been necessary so soon after the July 25th call where Zelensky said they would do it. . . especially one from Sondland to President Trump just to touch base from a Restaurant on an unsecured line. Doesn’t make sense. Not at all.
What also doesn’t make sense is for Ambassador Sondland to say something so stupid to a staffer like Holmes as “The President is only interested in the big things like what benefits him personally.” Sondland is a huge donor to Trump. That’s not something a huge donor would ever say to a State Department apparatchik. Is he drunk at lunch???
