Marie Yovanovitch admits Obama admin prepped her on Hunter Biden

Former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch testified Friday that the Obama administration was so concerned about Hunter Biden’s job on Burisma’s board of directors that she was asked prep questions about the issue by White House staffers before her 2016 Senate confirmation.

In response to questions from GOP counsel Stephen Castor, Yovanovitch testified at the House Intelligence Committee’s second public impeachment hearing that she had been informed about the lucrative gig Hunter Biden landed with the petroleum producer — which paid the son of then-Vice President Joe Biden as much as $50,000 a month despite his seeming lack of relevant experience — but took no action when she arrived at her post.

The way this whole impeachment is going, it makes me believe it's a huge rope-a-dope of the Dems. Trump lured them in and now look at the benefits:

• Trump gets to play the victim again. That position gets his base fired up. Something to talk about at rallies.

• Now the Media can't stop talking about Hunter Biden -- and now Kerry's son.

• Instead of a minority doing nothing in the House, now the best Republicans in the House are getting top billing in hearings, the raid on the basement, Twitter. They are working as a team, too. And having a good time.

• Trump is painting the Dems as corrupt "Do Nothings".

• Everybody's forgotten that there are Dems running for President. The shampeachment is sucking up all the oxygen!

If Kent, Taylor, and Yanobitch are typical of the State Department staff, then I truly believe The United States of America would be much better served if the State Department was disbanded, and not replaced, ever.

You are precisely correct. Foreign affairs are the expression of our President be he Obama or Trump. Obama most wisely cleaned out the State Department and made it "his State Department" as he should. Trump in error did not. I think when Trump became president he really did not realize the depth of corruption in our entire government. He does now and he will bring hell with him when he wins the next election.
