Roger Stone found guilty on all seven counts
NBC ^

Posted on 11/15/2019 8:59:05 AM PST by TigerClaws

Republican operative Roger Stone was found guilty on Friday of all seven counts against him, including witness tampering and making false statements.

The colorful trial lasted for nearly two weeks and featured references to “The Godfather Part II,” threats of dognapping, complaints of food poisoning and a gag order.

Prosecutors portrayed Stone, 67, as a serial liar who tried to bully witnesses into not cooperating with authorities. They charged Stone with making false statements, obstruction and witness tampering.

The case was one of the offshoots of former special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation and the last one referred to federal prosecutors before his investigation ended.

Stone had as much chance of being found not guilty by a DC jury as OJ did of being found guilty by an LA jury.
Ie. Zip, zero, nada.....

“Sounds like his lawyers are appealing.”

Appealing on just seven counts should be a breeze.

That's why they're not getting them.

I hope that the minute the polls close in November that President Trump pardons all these people who were railroaded like Stone was.

I believe that federal crimes have to be tried in the state (or District) where the crime is alleged to have occurred.

Yes. And for those who haven’t seen it, here it is. “Do not talk to the police.” As cuban leaf noted, it’s great. Very informative, and well worth your time.

I assume the charges and the trial were corrupt... That said,
Trump never should have had people like Roger Stone near him.

Hell, the jury was Obama operatives. It is nothing but a phony show trial, including the judge.

Its called tyranny and part of the coup.

Take a look at the democrat House Rules committee member who drew up the Rules for the Schiff “peachement” hearings...

ALCEE HASTINGS one of the very few Federal judges who was IMPEACHED himself and removed from office by the US Senate— for BRIBERY and CORRUPTION as a Federal Judge. An old friend ran the Customs part of the investigation— the dude is a CRIMINAL.

That never stopped him running for House office and relected 10 plus terms. There is a term for him— like a male Maxine Waters... but cannot be used under FR terms of use. A gutter rat of the lowest order... suffice to say.

Deep State 1

America 0

Fortunately, this is just the first inning.

(and their pitcher throws spitballs, their batters use steroids, and their fans throw shivs at the opposition outfielders)

As opposed to the people who are presently working in the state department?

Federal crimes can be prosecuted in any Federal jurisdiction.

A tragic miscarriage of justice and abuse of office by Mueller and his team. Pardon to follow?

“Federal crimes can be prosecuted in any Federal jurisdiction.”

Defendants should pick the jurisdictions where their trial takes place.
