If you could remember that far back, Democrats formally began impeachment proceedings against President Trump on September 24th of this year.
On Wednesday, nearly two months later, they held their first public hearing. CNN went wall-to-wall with it all day under strict instructions from their reclusive "Dwarf King" to squeeze every last drop of partisan drama from the proceedings.
If you got stuck in an airport and happened to catch some of it, you can testify to how pointless and tiresome the whole thing was.

Trump’s real offense was winning the election in 2016. Democrats have never accepted it and have sought to reverse it from day one.
This is what impeachment is really all about. Democrats are blowing smoke.
I think it’d be ‘more proper’ to just say this is ‘closure’. After the Hillary loss, and all the various public loses since January of 2017...closure is necessary to make them complete.
If they fail here...it only tightens up the closure problem, with no relief for November 2020 expected.
I would also offer this...unless Trump comes up and admits he murdered someone in the 1970s, this is all a wasted effort.
Democrats need impeachment because they cannot beat Trump on his record.
They need to find a way to discredit him but so far he has thwarted him at every turn.

Here’s why:
Over the years, I have heard that the State Department was absolutely an arrogant gathering of people, who think that they are what America SHOULD BE as far as Foreign Policy.
Even, Condolizza Rice, when she was SOS, complained that it was impossible to CHANGE THE way the almighty State Department personnel RAN THE SHOW.
As an aside, I was shocked the other day, when she was quoted as saying...President was “out of bounds” with the request in the call for an investigation. Is she too young for dementia?
The other day, I saw with my own eyes, the depth of the corruption of the State Department. They epitomized the arrogance that I heard about all these years.
Those two, two of their best I guess, brazenly told us all JUST HOW IMPORTANT IT IS THAT WE STAY THE HE11 OUT OF THEIR WAY, BECAUSE THEY...NOT THE PRESIDENT, NOT CONGRESS, NOT US, BUT THEY, KNOW WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA AND YOU HAD BETTER NOT DEVIATE FROM THAT...EVER...ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN.
So Tucker, it was not “pointless” for me. I learned a LOT that day.
AND IF ANY OTHER AMERICAN, OR, INDEED, ALL AMERICANS SEE THE SAME THING:

You make a very good point. I don’t think democrats are very bright. This latest attempt lets some sunshine into DOS. Right after the election, I couldn’t figure out why the democrats didn’t just pack their bags and go home. We know now they simply went too far targeting the Trump campaign and had to cover it up. By continuing to go after Trump, they keep exposing themselves. Anybody that has been paying attention know the DOS has some big hornet nests. The American people may not know a lot about policy, but they can understand arrogant people that throw temper tantrums when they don’t get their way.

can the state department be disbanded and reformed as a different organization?
Would the military be used to clean them out, arrest all who have worked against the USA and find a slate of people to run a bare bones process.
When I say clean them out, I mean every one down the janitors.
All would have to re apply for their jobs.
After that hearing, it should be disbanded and thrown on the dustbin of history.

Just like there is an investigation into the roots of the ‘Russia attempted coup’, there needs to be an investigation into the roots of the ‘Ukraine attempted coup’..... commencing immediately after Dumb-o-craps have realized that this latest effort needs to be abandoned....
Today's witness former U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch should be interesting. It will be more of the same. She may shed some tears like she did for the audition. She was recalled several months before the phone call, so has nothing to offer in that regard. She will likely give the orange man bad routine, but by appearing she is going to get a grilling about her activities.
Hannity is threatening to sue her because she blamed him during the audition for getting recalled.
Hannity mentioned some things about the pseudo ambassador that, I hope, our Rs ask her to explain like:
. giving a list of people to Ukraine authorities of people NOT TO PROSECUTE. Not good, and:
. involving herself in Ukraine’s politics, which is NEVER part of an ambassador’s duties. Double not good.
I read where she was in a parade that featured very political themes. Triple not good.
