If National Grid were smart they would use this opportunity to disassociate itself from Cuomo and New York State. Eventually New York will be forced to import costly Norwegian or Algerian liquid natural gas. Sure there are already Democratic insiders skimming the contracts. The cost of energy will rise over 40% in NY, Connecticut and NJ over the next five years.
NJ over the next five years.
Are you sure about that?
NJ is right now building a secondary link through central and south Jersey, RIGHT NOW. It went through my area over the summer, huge like 30” steel pipe for a 2nd redundant Natural Gas Link.
NJ and Philly have Natural Gas hubs as well
NJ also has the refineries as well. It was the reason our Gas, until recently, was the 2nd cheapest in the nation behind Alaska.
I don’t see NJ having supply issues anytime soon
Thank God Chris Christie was governor when all of these pipelines were approved and now are being constructed.
NJ and PA will be nice and warm this winter, let the idiot New Yorkers freeze this winter.
Years ago some insurance companies wanted to withdraw from NJ completely for auto insurance; the state forced them to stay by threatening to prevent them from selling ANY insurance.
Now we have the most expensive auto insurance in the country...
