From what I understand, he had no opposition. And he was “elected” with a record low turnout. But he was still elected. This is what happens when the GOP just rolls over and doesn’t put up any candidates. So New Yorkers stay home and a tiny minority turns out to vote him in and they feel like they can’t do anything about it.
Seems like he’ll keep in office for a while - with no real support.
