OFFS! One sad and also proud moment was when my mom and I accepted the folded flag and shell casings from when my dad was interred at the National Cemetary in Santa Fe NM. This is an insult to all who served and serve 'UV'. Shame on you. Guess we know who we CAN'T count on in a time of need. Salute to Veterans!

Making sure that the dumbed-down citizens never hear gunfire except from government, supporting the monopoly of violence argument: only the government, and their client groups like gangs, shall own guns.
Virginia is a lost cause now. It will have to be re-conquered after the war.

Remember those losers sitting by themselves in the dorm?
They’re now running the campus and the world apparently.

Every snowflake demand is always met. Every last one of them. There is never any pushback. Thats really amazing. And very sad.

Snowflakes will next want to stop the laying of a wreath at the Tomb of The Unknowns at Arlington...They will say cutting flowers damages the ecological system...

Well, there's abortion, and the homosexual agenda, and - oh, that was a rhetorical question. Sorry.

In some instances it’s starting to feel like late 60’s early 70’s when it comes to Veterans. Luckily very few instances and places. Mrs. rktman isn’t feeling well so looks like we won’t be making the Veterans parade in downtown Reno today. It is an awesome tribute with hundreds of high school kids in their various ROTCs taking part. Never been disappointed in the parade since we moved here 8 years ago. Salute to Veterans!

Does anyone care if we vets care about our past ans our rituals?

to minimize disruptions to classes, given that this event is located at the juncture of four primary academic buildings and is held at a time that classes are in sessionOh please. I worked at a large university. Every Veteran's Day, they fired the cannon at noon. Every year, the week before, all staff, faculty, and students received an email reminding them that they were going to fire the cannon. No issues with disrupting anything.

There are a couple veterans who line a freeway overpass with flags and stand at attention saluting all day every Veterans Day. I pass them on my way to work. Always chokes me up.

Well, Carson City is less liberal than Reno. Thought we’d be safe here but the libs in Vegas and now Reno have pretty much turned the state blue with very little chance of turning it around. We’re past the point of packing it in and high tailing it anymore. We just fight the good fight as much as we can. Salute to Veterans!
