Facebook is removing the posts and not informing the poster that these posts have been removed. Normally, when Facebook removes a post, they inform the user that it was removed, and in some cases, issue a warning and/or a temporary ban from posting.
It seems that Facebook is just secretly removing these posts, hoping that most users who have made such a posting, will not notice that their post was removed. If the post was to another user's page, likely it will go unnoticed.
I indeed have noticed the removals, because ususally, instead of creating a new thread, I tend to add to a previous posting, but then cannot find the recently posted material about CIA agent Eric Ciaramella. In one case, the original post disappeared while I was replying to it!
Even YouTube is being secretive about it. They are erasing the content of videos, but leaving the content up. I posted this video of FOX News Media Buzz broadcast from this weekend, where Mollie Hemingway stated the name of Eric Ciaramella. The Facebook post is gone, but the half-hour video is still on YouTube, but it only contains one second of video!
