The GOP are deer in the headlights.
They thought they could oppose Trump, but after he got even stronger many of them sort of came over to his side. Even though they no longer oppose him, they refuse to defend him because they are hoping the Rats take him down.
So they have just stepped aside, like the offensive line in THE LONGEST YARD.
I believe the Senate Republicans will come through, though, when the chips are down. They know their careers — and the very existence of the Republican Party — depends on it.
Remember how frightened they were of the Tea Party movement? That was child’s play.
Yet I get told i’m nuts here when I say I don’t fully trust the Rs in the senate to do the right thing.
My HOPE is that there are not 20 who will do the wrong thing.
