Orange County, Calif., which boasts a median household income of $86,000, is often viewed as a relatively safe, wealthy, and conservative region. Most people do not do not equate the area with human trafficking. However, researchers reveal the county to be a destination spot for traffickers.
The official Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force (OCHTTF), set up to fight real time sex and labor slavery in the county, released their latest victim report in 2019. Approximately 80 percent of both victims and traffickers in Orange County travel to the area from other parts of the region, the state, and the entire nation.
This is due in part to Orange Countys tourist attractions, sports venues, beach cities and affluent population, states the report (pdf). Traffickers bring their victims expecting to have an abundance of customers and higher profits.
There were 415 human trafficking victims rescued in the county in the past two years, compared to 509 in 2015-2016 and 371 in 2013-2014. According to the OCHTTF report, a full 73 percent were new victims in 2017 or 2018. Of that total, 87 percent were trafficked in the sex trade while 12 percent were in forced labor.
The United Nations Orange County Chapter 74th Anniversary event, held last month, highlighted this local tragedy. The United Nations defines human trafficking as modern slavery the act of utilizing threat, force, deception, or coercion for the purpose of exploitation.
Kelly Galindo, a professor of film and media arts at Chapman Universitys Dodge College, directed an upcoming documentary series on sex trafficking called 26 Seconds. She visited and filmed sex slave survivors around the globe, including in Thailand, Iraq, Cambodia, India, East Africa, Mexico, and the United States.

I am glad when people committing these crimes are rounded up.......
Pizzagate.
Did katie hill represent orange county??
Some of it may be actual slavery. Some of it may be voluntary prostitution. Some of it may be in between (women who would rather not be prostitutes, but have no other skills, or who are too dysfunctional, whether from addiction or mental issues, to hold a regular job).
We don't know, and some people have an incentive to inflate the actual numbers.
I'm not buying that. There is a distinction between "actual slavery" or human trafficking, and prostitution, and law enforcement knows which is which.
Yet somehow these "slaves" never escape when out being hookers.
Somehow they never escape from vehicles or from houses with windows and doors.
The lack of motivation among these "slaves" is appalling.
Pizzagate was absolutely about ordering children to abuse. Obama ordered 6 hot dogs, which was code for six boys. I found a website that explained this and then, guess what? Google removed it.
Many of them are far away from home and scared, and see their "masters" as holding all of the cards. It's like the cover ups in the Catholic Church and Penn State. Just because it took a long time to out the bad guys, that doesn't mean the victims wanted to be abused.
Podesta again! Why is this filthy waste of skin still breathing air?
“”Human trafficking” is a current euphemism for prostitution”
That labeling is very wrong.
Human trafficking is forcing people to have sex with someone, many times minors.
That is incredibly evil and the people running these things should be executed.
Willing prostitution from an adult is also a bad thing, but not all the same thing.
Mixing the two activities together when putting news together is very irresponsible.
"Human trafficking" gets more clicks.
“”Human trafficking” gets more clicks. “
Exactly.
Another one of many examples of why the media is so untrustworthy.
I’m quite sure that will be the last time in my life that i see a drawing of a penis ejaculating slices of pizza.
I may not believe tomorrow that I saw it today.
I have wondered at times in life if i’m a little off my rocker.
Now I realize that I am the poster boy for sanity after looking at that site.
I know and have known too many women that were molested as children.
It has kept me awake many nights. Even all these years later.
And it didn’t even happen to me.
When i can sleep soundly knowing what they told me, THEN I will worry about my soul.
What an evil ####ing world.
Law Enforcement knows which is which.
Reporters and ideological activists might not adequately make the distinction.
A guy was in charge of a youth activity for a group I'm involved in. Turns out he was molesting some of the more vulnerable kids, and generating kiddie porn (kids 8-13). He's in prison now.
I helped in the investigation and getting the evidence to the police to put him in prison. In the process, I grew convinced that this guy was plugged into a more extensive organization, with the kiddie porn serving as marketing for meeting the kids being groomed.
I'm also convinced that Epstein was also part of a network, with him grooming and then passing along kids to higher-level people.
I have no idea why you're trying to pretend this isn't what it clearly is, other than to absolve men of their responsibility in this.
You should point them out!
Make them known and hold them to account!
there are those that are closet homosexuals and there are those that do child porn
Point out these deviants!
We must expose these posters!
