Republicans urge Bevin to provide proof of election fraud or ‘let it go’ and concede
Lexiington Herald Leader ^ | November 7, 2019 | Daniel Desrochers

Posted on 11/07/2019 1:08:35 PM PST by Coronal

A growing number of Republican lawmakers are urging Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, a fellow Republican, to either provide evidence of the voting “irregularities” he has alleged or concede Tuesday’s election to Gov.-elect Andy Beshear, who defeated him by 5,189 votes.

“The best thing to do, the right thing to do, is for Governor Bevin to concede the election today so we can move on,” said Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Louisville.

Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, first raised the possibility of the tight election being decided by the Republican-led legislature Tuesday night when he explained the process that would occur if Bevin decided to challenge the results of the race. Bevin bolstered that speculation Wednesday by claiming that thousands of absentee ballots were counted illegally without presenting any proof to back up his claim.

Republicans in the legislature aren’t buying it.

Nemes said he has not seen much support for an election challenge among his Republican colleagues in the House, largely because the governor has not backed up his claims. None of the lawmakers the Herald-Leader spoke to Thursday said they had seen evidence to support Bevin’s claims.

If Bevin is claiming voter fraud, producing evidence is kind of necessary

And if he doesn’t have any evidence but still refuses to concede, then he’s vindicating all of those Kentucky voters who refused to vote for him simply because they thought he was an @sshole.

[As if the pattern of the votes where 100,000 voters went for GOP minor offices but did not vote for governor was “ typical”]

It’s typical for political candidates with the reverse Midas touch. In 2012, Roy Moore under-performed Romney by ~20%, despite being on the same ballot in Alabama. Bevin approved a toll road in the closing weeks of the election. This guy had a political death wish, and it appears to have been granted. Now, from a money standpoint, the guy needs the job like he needs a hole in the head. But if he wasn’t going to mount a credible run, he should have bowed out of the primary.

Well, Bevin will find evidence of fraud (after all, it involves the Democrat/Left), but it's also likely the results may not be sufficient to win. (Y'know the adage: "Every battle is won before it's fought.") That's the way to win ... that's the mindset necessary to generate effective tactics during the campaign that will result in victory.

Alternatively, in this close election Bevin could follow the Democrat/Left's strategy of "Every election is won after the votes are counted" ... like they did here in California during the 2016 election by overturning the results through recounts in more than a few state races. They didn't bother with the U.S. Senate race as only two Democrat/Left candidates were allowed to appear on the ballot.

Romney is aiming for planet god status. Recently, he has met with various religious leaders from around the world, including of the “moon god”. He is clearly trying to drum up ecumenical support.

Historically, he has been left of much, or most of the demonic party in MA. He spearheaded “same sex marriage” and supported LGBTQ studies within the education system across MA, (which fundamentally contradicted his anti-abortion stance). Romney also drove the bus for socialized healthcare.

He is a real wolf (or worse), which most are yet to realize the extent of.

He may not beat our Pres Trump, but he can make it interesting. Imagine if a Romney were to appear to move to the right, and then ran as an Independent against Pres Trump, or if Romney (with his left wing record), switched to Democrat, and picked a certain popular female Democrat from Hawaii to be his running mate...

He would get nearly all Democrat votes, as well as a percentage of Independents and undecided’s. This country is that far gone. And you can bet the establishment would go all in for him against Trump at this point, including the Intel world.

Could Trump still win, absolutely.

I am not saying this will happen at all, but at some point (and maybe not against Trump), it could be Romney is the real wolf to watch for.

Beyond his own arrogance, Romney literally has a real religious based god complex and belief.

Repubs want to exit a possible winning race while the democrats are swearing that a guy didn’t say what he said and want to impeach him for winning.

“The best thing to do, the right thing to do, is for Governor Bevin to concede the election today so we can move on,” said Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Louisville.

If this quote here is not prove that there is only political Party[Democrat] nothing will.

Typical typical freaking Republicans. This is why they know they can get away with it. Is Bevin raising money?

Anyone still believe that it would be any problem for the Democrats and media to turn 20 Senate Republicans? The word “fight” is not in the Republicans vocabulary.

I understand that Bevin is a carpetbagger from the northeast.

I’ve linked this Time article that explains other problems he experienced.

You do realize he was down 17 points just a few weeks ago, its a miracle, and a statement to TRUMP’s ability to get votes that he got within a few thousand votes.

You aren’t making up 5k votes with fraud allegations folks... Bevin lost... He was behind the entire race... he angered and disenfranchised too many voters.

Nothing more complicated or nefarious than that.
...
And the source of this poll is what?
Did the same poll predict Hitlery winning in 2016? I’ll wager you can’t answer that.
