Kentucky voters had a clear choice in the gubernatorial race when it comes to abortion politics today. And in the end the pro-life governor who served women and unborn children so proudly went home in defeat to a Democrat who fundraised with an abortionist.
Republican Gov. Matt Bevin has a strong pro-life record by defending unborn babies and cracking down on abortion businesses for not following the law. His opponent, Democrat Andy Beshear, has a radical pro-abortion stance. As state attorney general, he refused to defend a Kentucky law that protects unborn babies from abortions after 20 weeks.
Voters unfortunately did not reward Bevins strong pro-life record by sending him back to the governors mansion.
With 99% of the vote counted, Beshear defeated Bevin by a 49-48 percent margin.
Bevin has a strong record of protecting unborn babies and mothers from abortion. He has cracked down on abortion clinics, ensuring that they meet health and safety regulations. In 2016, his administration took legal action against Planned Parenthood after its new Lexington facility began aborting unborn babies without a license. That facility still is prohibited from aborting unborn babies.
As governor, Bevin has signed multiple pro-life laws, including measures to ban abortions after an unborn babys heartbeat is detectable, protect unborn babies with Down syndrome from discrimination and protect unborn babies from brutal dismemberment abortions.
Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said Bevin is a pro-life hero, and the Kentucky abortion lobby is trying desperately to unseat him. Her organization is working to inform voters in Kentucky ahead of the election.
In contrast, Beshear has a pro-abortion record and recently participated in a fundraiser with a Kentucky abortionist. In 2017, he refused to defend a Kentucky law that protects unborn babies by banning abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
Shittys
It is always the shitties
Shity Shity Shity!!!
Filled with shit, like san fransicko...
Always first to fall under the hubris of the elite...
I belong to the Catholic Church, which officially and unequivocally opposes ALL abortions.
Yet the vast majority of my fellow Catholics here in Western PA routinely vote Democrat.
Sadly abortion comes in at a very low priority for most people when it comes time to pull the voting lever.
Do you think that the people care if that happens? As evidenced by those that did not vote, they don't.
Too many Republicans dont seem to understand the stakes of modern elections.
And as evidenced by their votes or non votes. so do the people of Kentucky. The residents of the other States will have a chance to make their choices within the coming year.
I think we tribal humans, over the millennia, have developed an ingrained, genetic need for a common enemy, to protect our particular tribe, and its especially strong in the less reasoning and emotion-driven among us today.
USA now has no real, palpable common enemy as weve had in the past (England, natives, north-south, Germany/Japan, USSR...).
So, from our diversity, our tribes have created enemy groups to actualize this prime, driving need upon D v R, color v white, women v men, gay v straight, atheist v Christian, MX v USA , etc.
Pick your enemy, feel that ancient battle mode energizing you, work yourself up and start engaging...
“Thanks to Ted The Swimmer Kennedy, a reprobate if ever there was one.”
He was paid.
Is it really over? Did Bevin concede?
I like a Republican that fights.
Dog bites man. They were cheating in 1960, and in local elections for decades before, going back to the 19th Century. It’s what they do.

Kentucky’s gone over to the “Kill the baby” side? Shame!
A truth for our time.
I hope so. I hope the absentee ballots represent Military families, not college kids.
Were the Republican wins close?
Looking for fraud checks all votes. Percentage wise I’m expecting Democrat voter fraud because that’s just how they roll.

It’s not just the candidate it’s the alternative.
Otherwise voters are biting off their noses to spite their faces. Vote for abortions after birth or vote for someone who ticked you off but whose policies align with yours 75%?
Let me see, “screw him, screw my neighbors, screw myself but it felt great to show him”.
The land qualifications were to prevent transients from deciding property laws. This war on the rich is a perfect example.
BTW, women always could vote, but they had to qualify just like the men did. The sufferage movement was about letting liberal women vote.
