President Trump has approved a plan to reduce the cap for refugee admissions to the country for fiscal year 2020 to 18,000, the lowest level on record since the program began more than three decades ago.
In a statement announcing the move this weekend, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that the core of the Trump Administrations foreign policy is a commitment to make decisions based on reality, not wishes, and to drive optimal outcomes based on concrete facts.
Pompeo went on to say that this years determination on refugee admissions does just that, even as we sustain our longstanding commitment to help vulnerable populations and our leadership as the worlds most generous nation.
The plan, which was announced back in late September, has drawn pushback from Democratic lawmakers, including governors who have said they will continue to welcome refugees to their states despite the steep reduction.

and Here Come A Dictator Judge
should be ZERO.
internal enforcement must be ramped up....deportations must increase.
Somewhere, some liberal group is petitioning a equal liberal judge to overturn this.
It’s what they do.
Every DAY this man does something that makes me want to DANCE! MAGA! KAG!
As with a Lawyer at the bottom of the ocean, ‘It’s A Start!”
Did he run this decision by some left wing “judge” to make sure it is OK?
Now cut it by another 90% so the program can be restricted to actual refugees.
No. Democrats are busy doing that. They’re in the process of judge shopping.
Its what they will continue to do until Trump starts to ignore their rulings the way Obama did.
ZERO is a very good number.
I’m for admitting LEGITIMATE refugees, of whom there are very few. If some South African farmers apply, for example, I’d probably let them in. Their land is being stolen and YUUGE numbers of them are being killed. They’re hard workers who would fit right into our culture and society.
But other than a relatively small number of people in categories like that, I think we essentially need to close the doors.
And they are ALL going to Marthas Vineyard!!
