The Washington Nationals will head to the White House Monday to meet with President Trump following the team's historic World Series victory. But pitcher Sean Doolittle won't be going.
"There's a lot of things, policies that I disagree with, but at the end of the day, it has more to do with the divisive rhetoric and the enabling of conspiracy theories and widening the divide in this country," Doolittle said in an interview with The Washington Post.
"At the end of the day, as much as I wanted to be there with my teammates and share that experience with my teammates, I can't do it," Doolittle said. "I just can't do it."

He complains about divisive rhetoric by using divisive rhetoric.

With his wife having two mommies this dude is enclosed with so much estrogen he doesn’t dare voice an opinion to cross the ladies in his life.

"In June 2015, when the Oakland Athletics Pride Night received backlash from some fans for the team's support of LGBT rights, Doolittle and then-girlfriend Eireann Dolan bought hundreds of game tickets, which they donated to local LGBT groups, and raised an additional $40,000 in donations." NAMBLA people, then.

Who? Never heard of him and don’t care. Thankfully, in America, he’s free to not go. That’d be one less freak the Secret Service has to wave a wand over and one less unwashed hand for Trump to shake.

More tiresome belly aching by some multi-millionaire who made his fortune from playing a kids game.
I dont know why the president even bothers with this sportsball nonsense. I wouldnt.

The guy's not much of a team player if he can't go the WH with his teammates.
There is no "I" in team, dummy.
Maybe he can kneel in his living room in protest.

I’m not. The Nationals and the Series really brought the District together - every day we saw on the local news Black, White, Hispanic, Old, Young, unified and happy together over this.
And then one narcissist has to throw his personal, subjective, political stink of divisiveness into it.
Why do politics have to be inserted into sports at all?
I despised Obama; but I would have gone to the White House, if I’d been on a championship team that was invited. When the President honors a team like this, he’s honoring on behalf of the entire country.

I suspect he’ll reject Christ’s invitation as well. Good riddance to garbage.
