Vladimir is the presumptive new Russian Emperor (Tsar), not the Byzantine Emperor. This is in line with Moscow as the Third Rome!!!!
A man runs a youth shelter, as a way of feeding his pedo needs. He's imprisoned even though many of the youths who weren't abused, were helped.
Are you saying I shouldn't care about the intent?
I didn't know the Church permits the use of TCCD as a soup additive.
You are calling Putin a Pedo? Yikes. Brave of you. watch your sushi and doorknobs.
So let me guess. You grew up during the cold war and you think Russia yearns for the days of the hegemony of the USSR?
You may be right but they yearn for a new hegemony. The fact they have an economy smaller than that of Italy may be a teensy tiny itty bitty little problem for their plans.
You still see the USSR where in truth they are just a well armed Italy.
Are they good guys? No. Is your analogy moronic and child like? Yes.
Nope, but its good to remember they are justifying normal power politics through this messaging.
It doesn't change the facts, or your position that intent does not matter.
Clearly my analogy has rubbed you the wrong way...perhaps because it illustrates the naked dangers of ignoring intent.
Now I can get behind the concern about the attack which Christendom is under. I also get that allies in this seige are not numerous.
I also get that you can't always get what you want, and we were allied with the Soviets in WWII. You sometimes find yourself with strange bedfellows.
All that said, Putin's character AND lack of personal Christian behavior all argues for questionable intent - I'll take a pass on his "help." Thanks for listening.
Putin is a snake as is evidenced by the current flights of cash to Venezuela but but God works in mysterious ways. Just because he is evil does not mean he can’t be doing Gods work at the same time.
I never said Putin was not a sinner. There are plenty of people who have done very bad things who go to church.
This is a great countermove!
And beautifully artistic. Love the icons. Here's one I came across recently:
The icon of the Ladder of Divine Ascent is connected with the well-known spiritual classic book, The Ladder of Divine Ascent by Saint John Climacus of the 7th century. It was inspired by Jacobs dream, in which God promised to safeguard Jacob in all places, and that he should not be afraid (Genesis 28:12-15).
Short tunics are the Eastern Orthodox art version of Star Trek “red shirts.”
Nothing is pure evil; God lives in all of us. But to what extent are we supposed to look away from the evil and praise the good? Castro was a bad guy, but liberals like to point to their wonderful healthcare and cigar industries. When that happened, every conservative jumped on the liberals because in the end, free healthcare didn't make up for his badness.
Now, Trump's "locker room talk" isn't exactly something I wish for men to emulate. But Trump has repented (as far as I can tell) and is in a loving marriage. Putin, as far as I can tell, hasn't sworn off wiping out his political enemies while chatting about Christ.
Thus, I'll look somewhere other than Castro, er, Putin as a champion of Christianity.
Are you Putin’s ex lover? The only people I have seen jump in with such vitriol and absolutism are jilted ex lovers.
heh
No, I'm not Obama.
No one here is looking at Putin as a “champion of Christianity.”
Those were your words alone.
As for my assertion that people here see Putin as a Champion, maybe you're not one of them, my FRiend, but there are lots of them and lots of non-believers. The evidence for me is clear that he's a fraud on this topic, and I stand my my assertion that if Putin thought he'd be more powerful as a woke pro-LGBT pol, we'd see the rainbow flag flying over the Kremlin and Pussy Riot would be the House Band, over night.
I agree with much of what you said. However, The good ole russkies cannot stand the modern wimpy homo loving leftism rampant throughout the West.
