Interesting opinion, but completely wrong minded. These sickos need to know that who ever steps up and assumes some mantle of terror group leadership will be identified, hounded and chased until we catch up eventually and then they too will die like their forebears.
They terrorize, kill and main because of socio-political conditions that breed hatred and division and devalued human life. We kill because they threaten our relative peace, prosperity and generally civilized behavior ( of course, we are in need of some radical improvement too).
Kill them there and wherever they are, so as not to have to watch them kill our friends abroad or here at home. But not meaning expeditionary wars that never end. HUMINT, SIGINT, and surgical strike. Shadow Warriors and silent destruction from afar if possible, certain and up close consolidation of the targets with minimal boots on the ground for positive ID.

First statement is factually true. There is a tendency to personify evil which it not working. I am perfectly okay with killing this guy and my congratulations to the people who did it but strategically it doesn’t mean much. Killing Osama didn’t hurt Al-Qaeda too.
