In the wake of Sen. Ben Sasse's decision not to sign on to a formal endorsement of Trump's reelection by leading Nebraska Republicans, GOP primary challenger Matt Innis of Lincoln said he "will gladly support President Trump" and suggested that Nebraska Republicans should consider that difference when they vote next May.

Innis responded: "A clear difference between my opponent and me is that he won't support our Republican candidate for president and I will. Nebraskans should consider that when they go to the polls."
Sen. Deb Fischer, Reps. Jeff Fortenberry, Don Bacon and Adrian Smith, Gov. Pete Ricketts and former Govs. Dave Heineman and Kay Orr all signed the Trump endorsement. Innis is former chairman of the Lancaster County Republican Party.

Whatever Trump said was before Sasse had a primary challenge, and was presumably about the general election. It shouldn’t be understood as an endorsement over his primary challenger.

Every one of the Bush League Republicans needs a primary challenger.

He comes off as a strong Christian ( I talked with him at a Casting Crowns concert a few years back).
Do strong Christians defacto campaign for Hillary Criminal and her constitution destroying SCOTUS? No.

I called his office during the kavanugh hearings..I told him to at least keep his mouth shut and quit giving aid and comfort to the “Enemy” - he had to keep up his Never Trumper stuff...lost my vote as well....I'm registered independent but will change to vote against him in the primary - after I check out his rival.
He has a radio ad out touting how hes a conservative - but I can't stand his jabs at the President.

This is how they lost AZ, CO, AL Yep, thats how my congressman, Mike Coffman, lost his job. Kept trying to compromise in a futile attempt to appeal to dems and moderates, but all he did was turn off conservatives and compromise his butt right out of office, replaced by a liberal dem. Now hes running for mayor of Aurora...pathetic.

Have you ever been to Nebraska? Flat as a pancake as far as the eye can see. I would go crazy if I had to live there. When I spend too much time in flat country, my eyes start to ache for a terrain feature. At least Iowa has hills and West Virginia has mountains.

And the Baby Obliterator of Omaha (buffet) also runs the Omaha Weird Herald. Once a strong conservative paper and now a liberal rag not suitable for outhouses.
