I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
Trump barely made it. He is the one exception I have seen in my lifetime where a politician was able to win against the Media, the Democrats, and most of the Republican leadership nationwide.
Prominent figures who today try to sound as if they told Trump what to do, were nowhere to be seen in Trump’s lead up to the election, or just barely visible to claim credit.
Cruz, Levin, Beck, McConnell, Ryan... silent for long periods, a token of support, or voicing doubts.
Moore is fine by me. I hope he gets another chance and the people of his state have been woke to what happened last time, and resent it.
Roy Moore had to put up with all of that, and the Republicans from Congress were doing robo-calls the day before the election and possibly on election day as well, asking Republicans to either stay home or not vote for Moore.
I’m not putting any of this on Moore.
His adversaries tossed every bit of mud they could at him. They tried the same thing on Kavanaugh during the hearings.
Moore would vote with us over 95% of the time, probably more like 98%.
He’s head and shoulders better than Collins, Romney, and their ilk.
Agree.
