Agree. Dog’s not going to give up this bone. It’s something for them to yap about for another entire year.
‘Course, they could always impeach him again on some other charge, while the Senate is considering the first impeachment. And they’re crazy enough to do it.
That's why I don't think they will do it. They will either not take up a vote or they will let the committees vote and then let the articles fail on the floor of the house with some dems voting no so it won't go to trial.
That's my theory
I don’t think they really want to do it. If they do it then it would be a propaganda loss for them. What they really want is to beat Trump in 2020, and then declare that his policies of “racism, homophobia, nativism, and economic protectionism” were soundly rejected by the people and are never to return. The GOP establishment would love it too because they they can go back to nominating Romney and say “we have to return to our values”. Impeachment is a last resort and they just want to run interference for as long as possible.

Look at it this way:
The dems have pulled the pin on a grenade
There’sb no putting the pin back
They’re holding the grenade and spoon
They’re not going to throw it
Now, how long due you think the public is going to be happy with the dems running around with a live grenade?
Til Christmas? Easter? Fourth of July Election day?
They can’t put the pin back and they can’t throw it.
This isn’t going to go well for the dems. The squad pushed Pelosi into this and she wasn’t happy about it. Notice that we’re not hearing much from the squad lately?
