I've been saying the same thing - but for a slightly different reason. I don't think they will impeach because the last thing the democrats want is a trial. 1) They know they will lose, which they would be OK with. They would get their talking points out and get to blame the GOP that he survived. But more importantly, 2) They don't want a trial because THEY would be the ones who would really be on trial - including Hillary, Obama, FISA, Clapper, Comey and all of the other crooks. Trump would expose the entire swamp in his scorched earth defense and they know it.
That's why I don't think they will do it. They will either not take up a vote or they will let the committees vote and then let the articles fail on the floor of the house with some dems voting no so it won't go to trial.
That's my theory
plus..by using this ‘UKRAINE” angle, the dems are trying to gum up the Barr investigation into 2016..by conflating it with a so called “abuse of power”..trying to turn the GUILIANI-BARR investigation into a crime.
