Many of us are considering that. My own opinion is that they'll largely stay out of the fray. Not all, but largely.
Oh I thought i was the ONLY GENIUS on the site who thought of that.
Once again I find i’m nothing special lol

My guess is that the military would support the side that is following the Constitution.
So lets say that Congress impeaches, and then removes Trump. And they do so by following the method laid out in the Constitution. Yes, that would be a travesty. But it would also be perfectly legal. I would hope that the military would do nothing.
But now lets suppose that Trump is arrested by the House Sergeant-at-Arms while hes delivering the next State of the Union speech. In that case, I would hope that the military would act swiftly to set things right.
I can imagine that it could be like Northern Ireland during the “troubles”. Our side would be the Orange but only if we hold the legitimate organs of government. If not then we would never be willing to do what the IRA did. The military would be like the Brits and set up road blocks and check points.
It would go on a long time. It would be called “crime”. Our women will demoralize us saying, “Think of the children.” “You should not stoop to their level.” “You are no better than they are.” “You make me uncomfortable when you talk like this.” Our politicians would fight us saying, “Great progress is being made.” “Peace process blah blah.” “We have introduced a bill to blah blah.” “We repudiate and condemn the terroristic acts that have been carried out in the name of freedom.”
How we are supposed to coordinate and communicate I cannot imagine. In Ulster they could meet in existing lodges, with no fear of enemy infiltration. Where are we gonna meet? We are very good at expressing emotions on websites (until they are shut down!) Otherwise please tell me how this is not emotional hyperbole, to mask the unsettling knowledge of the cowardice and weakness on our side.
The Army is ant compared to an elephant. Hell, Texas could raise an Army bigger than the US Army in a fortnight.
