Our top cop is a good man. It’s been a long time.

I agree, but actions over words...

I'll believe Barr is a good man when there are real indictments of principal coup plotters. Until then it is all just words. Even recently, after all the reports that McCabe's indictment was imminent - nothing. The clock is running out and the conspirators are walking free, making money, and continuing to conspire against Trump

A good man? He’s an old bushie, cia guy. Talk is cheap.

But, let’s accept your position that he is a “good man”. The problem is that the federal doj simply has too much police power. Nearly all domestic crimes should be handled by State governments, not the feds. The Feds operate in secrecy and have enormous budgets. There is no real accountability via congress or the executive.

At the state level corruption can be weeded out more readily. State police and investigatory agencies are usually under the AG who can be voted out or recalled. States are smaller and news/info is easier to obtain at the state level. (it’s a lot easier to get a state records request than a federal one). And of course if a state is corrupt, you can move.

So, if you really care about defending your constutional rights, you should be more concerned with accountability, checks and balances than a few statements by a “good man”

I hope he truly is a good man. Public pronouncements do not certify that but could be a likely indicator.

In addendum to my previous post, I will hopefully reserve judgement until the results of pending investigations bear what fruit they may.

He declined to prosecute McCabe and that tall weasel of a former FBI director whose name escapes me at the moment.

Barr has said little and done nothing. That is not the mark of a good man. That is the mark of a typical D.C. status quo punk.
