One thing I think Ive correctly observed about the U.S. military in the 21st century is that its leaders tend to be the last to want to go to war and the last to want to leave it. Political figures operate under public pressures and shifting geopolitical needs and goals; theyre surrounded by people who see the world a certain way; they get revved up, and say, Go, invade. Top military staff have reservations. Theyve studied the area, know the realities, the historythey have doctorates in itand dont want to get into anything America cant win cleanly, decisively, relatively quickly. Theyre skeptics.

The reports are confusing people because they are meant to do just that. We sent 1000 troops into northern Syria in 2014. They were supposed to be there for no more than 30 days for a very specific mission.
5 years later they are still there.
The 50 troops being discussed are a portion of the 1000 that were in a very specific area of northern Syria that the Turks wanted to conduct what they call a counter terrorism mission against specific Kurdish factions who they view as a threat to Turkey.
President Trump agreed to this. The key is, are the Turks abiding by that agreement or, are they full of it and just using this agreement to get their foot in the door to launch a much broader campaign?
The president has warned that if they do not abide by the agreement the Turks will be punished with a very damaging financial action against them.
There was no rush. He campaigned on it since 2016.
She thought Obama was hot. Now she’d take a stew bum if she could find one willing to degrade himself.
Poor Peggy still doe t k ow that this president made her, Goldberg, Kristol, and a bunch of other Trump hating Repuliconts irrelevant. Throw her on the dung heap with the rest. No one cares because you have all been exposed as DC Swamp Gas!
Didn’t see her fat ass in Nam or Cambodia. Hmmm..
